Same reason they nearly all Praised The Lord when OJ was found not guilty.
Not all of us.
My dad would have tanned my backside if I ever touched a woman in anger. Lots of us feel the same way, but those who live their lives in a good pious manner don't get the press.
O.J. was clearly guilty as sin, but a lot of blacks cheered his acquittal not because they thought he was innocent (although I'm sure there were some who thought the evil white cops concocted this brilliant plan to frame O.J. literally within minutes of the murders), but as retribution for all the blacks that were unjustly convicted and even executed because of their color.
I'm not one of those, nor am I alone. I remember the reaction among my family members and pretty much we all shook our head how he got away with murder.
Acquitting O.J. for the murder denies justice for the families of those he murdered, families that had nothing to do with other innocent blacks being convicted.
But those of us who shook our head at the acquittal were not at the courthouse or anywhere else cameras would be. Why would we? The squeeky wheel has always gotten the grease.

Thank you for the reply. Very well stated. That all crossed my mind on that case then and over the years, but I could not come up with the proper words nor did/do I feel it’s my place.
By the way, I myself am not convinced OJ did it. I admit I do not have nearly enough knowledge on how or why this COULD be the case, but the theory that OJ’s oldest son did it has always carried weight with me. The biggest drawback for me though would be his motive and would he have been that passionately angry to commit those murders to that extent. That case will still be discussed for decades to come.

If you're a young gun, you probably don't remember it like us older folk do. I watched many hours as well as got the daily recap every single day.
The only plausible way to explain an innocent O.J's DNA being where it was would be if the police, upon discovering the carnage, figured they would NEVER solve this case. So they quickly hatched a plan that managed to get O.J's blood and DNA at the crime scene. Of course, the police took a big chance that someone wouldn't stumble upon the murderer (or a confession) the next morning.
Just doesn't make sense to me.
