Rock and Roll

I don't play the 'woke' game, I don't care what someone's "identity" is according to some collective notion of identity--what I do care about is individual accomplishment(s).

Joan Jett absolutely rocks. She always has, always will. Did she have it tough because she's a woman? Maybe. Probably, even. So what? She plugged in her guitar and wailed right through anyone standing in her way. She will go down in history as a pillar of post-60s rock music, she will stand next to other rock icons of her age and it will have nothing to do with her gender or who she sleeps with and everything to do with her individual talent.

I love this woman and all she's done and I hope she's an inspiration to anyone, regardless of their "identity" markers.
