Becoming the next Val Kilmer

Just saw Drive Hard. Seems like Mr. Jane is destined to end up like Val.

Honestly, I think John Cusack is destined to be the next Val Kilmer. Jane never experienced fame like Kilmer did. If anything, Thomas Jane is going to be the next Jeremy Piven or Christian Slater.

That makes no sense because Slater was very popular at one point as well. His fame didn't last as long as Kilmers but Thomas Jane can still do good films unlike Kilmer. Kilmer went from A list to sh!t list. I'm not even sure why.... I think he stopped trying after he lost the Oscar. He prolly figured why bother.

Piven was always B-list.

I'll say that Jane was still good in Drive Hard it was just the movie that was beneath him...far beneath him AND Cusack. I have no clue on why they BOTH decided to do that movie.

Cusack is a mixed bag as well... He will do a very good movie then something like this.... Just a few years ago he was in pretty big movies. Jane has strayed here and there. Some decent budget....The Mist... Punisher...

One thing I came in here to say is how thin he looks now.

Apparently Val Kilmer often acted like a jerk, so that no one wanted to work with him, even though he was a talented actor.

That was a cheesy but fun movie imo

Kilmer still pulls out the odd good film. 'The Salton Sea' for example.

"I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness"

Salton Sea came out 13 years ago, at the tail-end of when his career was still somewhat noteworthy (before he got fat, in other words). That was, arguably, his last big studio film in a lead role.
