Isn't Suri a little too big to be carried around like a baby?

Every time I see a picture of Suri Cruise, she's being carried by somebody.

Yup.

I can understand if, as a protective measure, her parent or nanny carries Suri in the midst of a paparazzi scrum (which begs the question: if the paps cause Suri to be distraught, why do her parents insist on dragging her out in front of them day after day?). But yeah, I found it perplexing to see her carried around so often instead of allowing her to use her own darn legs. I see they still tote around a blanket for her too. So much for teaching her independence! Recently, I've noticed she's walking more than before (welcome to New York life, kid!).

Some people have speculated that Suri might have some sensory problem (coupled with photo evidence of Suri wearing inappropriate clothing for the season, e.g. short sleeved shirts or dresses while everyone else is in bulky jackets, scarves, full length pants, etc).

She's SIX, and no, she's not being cradled like an infant. It is just fine, to carry your six year old.

Jack's not dead! Jack would never die without telling me, first!

I dont think so. She is six. If it goes on much longer then yeah. It may be that she is carried when their are lot of other people around, which is when the pictures are being taken.

To be fair, I have seen pictures of Suri out walking, and none of us can really know what it's like to be surrounded by paparazzi and members of the public all the time, genuinely afraid that your child could be kidnapped or harmed.

Fair enough if they are in the middle of a pap scrum but i've seen pics of her being carried in 'safe' situations too. Basically by encouraging babyish behaviour(sippy cups, blankets, being carried etc) they are unwittingly delaying her social and emotional development, which will have serious repercussions when she is older if it's not rectified now.
