What is she most known for?

American Pie

*I* know her mostly as Willow, however, HIMYM is more known, less "geeky" (no matter how "geeky is cool" these days) and in an age, when you can watch episodes of anything online in two seconds. It also ended recently and it ran longer than Buffy.
But for me, she will always be Willow :)

What is she most known for?

Being adorable and awkward.

Being a mouth breather.

I'd say Buffy. Buffy older than How I Met Your Mother and it still has a large fanbase. In 10 years time How I Met Your Mother will be barely remembered (the way American Pie is barely remembered now) and Buffy will still have it's fans.
American Pie Doesn't even need to be mentioned. I'm sure it still has a small group of followers but I'm sure My Stepmother is an Alien probably has as many fans at this point.

America Pie, I watched those movies at most once.

Buffy the vampire slayer, I rewatch that stuff all the time. Best longrunning tv show of all times (best tv show of all times was Firefly, but it didnt get much material).

P.s.: Ooops I completely forgot about How I met your mother. I liked the premise a lot but I didnt liked the implementation too much. The main character wasnt actually that likeable and the show got repetitive really quickly.
