Do you think what Adrian posted on his 9/11 tribute was Right or Wrong?

I can see why people are pissed about it considering the tragedy but what he said wasn't entirely false...now he's being called a liberal traitor and scum for posting that..

I get the impression he's a mimbo and doubt he made that graphic himself
Or thought up the phrases on it

Their is nothing in that post that wasn't true though. It's just inconvenient for Americans to see the innocent Iraqi death toll when their country is guilty of starting a war based on a lie, a war that cost millions of lives. It's easier to call them all terrorists and justify it through the innocent people who died on 9/11, judging American lives to be superior.

reply

Really, dude? You don't get it.

Yes, his post is factually accurate, but obviously done to incite response, to just blanketing the Americans that did die as if it meant nothing. Maybe he's posting it for that reason, that Americans don't care of Iraqi death tolls ... but it's in vain. Is he posting about the poor Japanese casualties that followed Pearl Harbor? Or Germans that died on V.E. Day? NO, of course not. That's why it's all BS from this awful actor.

Besides, what holiday/remembrance would ever celebrate anything that indirectly caused something? Who in France celebrates Bastille Day says, "oh, the poor French royalty casuals ... let's not forget them either" - that isn't happening.

This day is about remembering OUR pain, loss, and hope as a nation. This bad actor turned it into something self serving, and, saw this, and took it down. Or he has bad PR that didn't think to tell him not to post that dumb garbage.

What you are writing might have some grain of truth (Although your comparisons to Pearl Harbor and other events of over 50 years ago is stretching it) if the hundreds of thousands of Iraqis killed in that invasion were ever acknowledged. But they never were, were they? We don't even have an accurate body count of the number of Iraqi civilians and/or soldiers killed. Tell me, where was the last memorial for all those Iraqis killed that you attended? There haven't been any that I have heard of so enlighten me.

I thought so.

So he does have a point and a point that is much more valid than yours.

By the way, I live in New York and remember the attack vividly as one the worst days of my life. However, as the years go by I find that New Yorkers are so much less vindictive than people are in other states.

reply

The post was factually correct.
The post was a dick move.
If he doesn't post this kind of garbage about the poor Japanese being nuked on Dec. 7th (Pearl Harbor), then he only proves he wants attention, and really doesn't care about innocence lost in war.

reply

Your post is ridiculous. What does the attack on Pearl Harbor have to do with the attack on the World Trade Center? Nothing. Frankly, I thought it was about time that someone made comments like the ones he made.

And speaking of dick moves, you apparently are an expert.

ell me, where was the last memorial for all those Iraqis killed that you attended? There haven't been any that I have heard of so enlighten me.

NEVER. Why the hell would I? September 11th isn't about remember Iraqis death toll that started about 2 years later. IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE. Why would America do that? In my town, we have a 9/11 memorial - tell me why there should be dead Iraqi names on it, or why should the 21 terrorists have their name on there? I mourn for my countrymen. People on her are acting as if this is weird to say. How many countries make memorials for their then enemies? Would Poland make a memorial remember the Nazis? Would France memorialize the Vietnamese? Would the Chinese commemorate the raping of Nanking? Of course not!

Being a New Yorker during the attacks must have been horrible and absolutely life altering. But NJ and CT had loss. 152 people died from CT, many from my town. I'm not sure where the vindictiveness you talk about is directed towards.

reply

It's a comparison. Put in any war/attack and a memorial commemorating it - they aren't putting the "enemies" name on it.

You're more dense than Adrian Grenier.
