and the most ironic thing is that she fits more in the type of beauty that is dificult to look like her than lets say the Jennifer Aniston type of beauty.
i love the mix in her between super diva Glam and Down to earth.
the only other two who are like penelope are Catherine Zeta Jones and Kate Beckinsale.
there is perfect balance in her that is very rare to see.
there are many Nicole Kidman, charlize Theron, Angelina Jolie type who are absolutley stunning who are more like icy Queens and makes you feel frustrated that you will never look like them
there are the Rom Com queens who sell the idea that with the right dress, make up and hair style you can look as good as them like Julia Roberts, Jennifer Anniston, Reese Witherspoon sarah jessica Praker.
and there is balance i previously mentioned like Penelope, CZJ and Kate beckisnale who are down to earth but are stunners as well

Well it's all about taste like many people say beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Maybe you don't like them that much because you prefer exotic beauties.
I think at the beginning i didn't explain my self very well because now that I think about it unconventional beauties and exotic beauties are not same thing.
exotic beauties are loved as much as strictly classic beauties but they have something very unique in their features like Penelope Cruz, Catherine Zeta Jones, Monica Bellucci and Angelina Jolie meanwhile unconventional beauties are the ones we find very in Rom Coms which make us mare mortals feel better about our looks and tell us that with the right style we can look as good as them.
Unconventional beauties would be Anne Hathaway, Reese Witherspoon, Sarah Jessica Parker, Julia Roberts, Glenn close in her best years and Sandra Bullock
Ah, I see. That is a good distinction to make. I think you're right - I'm not really "attracted" (I'm a straight girl, lol) to conventional beauties. The thing is, it's probably because I'm white and have straight hair, blue eyes, and fair skin. All the things that are supposedly beautiful in our society. I think I'm attracted to exotic beauty/unconventional beauty because it's something I don't have! (Not saying I'm a "classic beauty" or anything.) I used to have a male friend from India who loved blond hair and fair skin and basically the American ideal. I thought he was insane, because I - on the whole - find Indian women so beautiful! I think it is in the eye of the beholder, like you said, and also I think we are attracted to the unfamiliar.
