If you liked him in this than you should check him out in the movie Superheroes.

Set in New York in the Summer of 2005, SUPERHEROES is an intimate and compelling drama, the story of the relationship between two Americans: a wounded Iraqi War veteran who struggles to live with his psychological and physical scars, and a young filmmaker who accompanies him to a cabin in the Catskills to document his story.

I liked how right from the start Justin was setup as a sympathetic character who is innocent/vulnerable as things went horribly wrong. Justin's character revealed that his Mother died, and he had to keep moving. Add to that he said he was never in the loop about what was going on with his family although he didn't know the details he did know they were trouble. Mari seemed to like/connect with him over the loss of their loved ones.

Justin was in fact as much of a victim as Mari and Paige in that he was forced by his Dad look at Mari and accept that they would have to be "taken care of". The part where Krug asks Justin which one he wanted to have/rape, or both of them. Krug forcing him to molest Mari was gut wrenching as she begged him for help. The film did a good job of making him sympathetic: 1)His emotional breakdown after seeing Mari's picture. 2) Him leaving Mari's necklace for the Collingwoods 3) Him giving the gun to John Collingwood. 4) Trying to help both parents subdue Sadie 5) Pulling the gun on Krug and pulling the trigger.

I'm glad the parents took him with them in the end. The end with them riding off in the boat signifies redemption, forgivness, and hope for the Collingwoods and Justin. Having already lost a son, and then almost losing their daughter as well. Saving her life and helping Justin could very well be a way for the family to fill the void and have closure for losing Ben. Mari and Justin holding and looking thoughtfully at the necklace hints at that theme.

While the movie ends with the Collingwoods and Justin driving away safely in their boat I would like to imagine them helping/taking Justin in after their experience together, and due to him not having any other family. Where the movie ends its rather open-ended as to what direction the characters of any given story could go in.

He was really cute.
I found myself looking at him more than the girls.
Good performance too, especially handing over the gun.

What I loved about this remake is that the film's really about Justin.
The original is more about Mari.
Justin's conflict is the most intriguing in the film.

I also like the name Justin better than Junior (the original).

And I'm really glad he didn't die in this version.

Great film with an excellent cast.
