I'm not really sure what is about him. His pale white skin, his weird face, his complete lack of facial expression, or just how freaking quiet and unremarkable he is in every single one of his roles, but ever since I saw him in "Unbreakable" and "Gladiator", I just can't stand him. This fact was further compounded now that I just saw "Arlington Road".
And yes, like most child actors, he really didn't mature very well. He just looks... odd now.
I just saw him the other night on a new L&O SVU. He does seem kind of boring.

I thought he was excellent on SVU, as well as in Third House on the left and as a young kid in Gladiator and Unbreakable. I guess being the "quiet, sullen" type is his character and he does it well... I mean, look at the roles he plays, a kid willing to do what ever it takes to find his kidnapped brother on SVU, A Kid whos family is a bunch of crazy killers in 3rd house, a kid who murders his brothers girlfriend in Unbreakable... How are you supposed to play such roles, with a big smile and a song in your heart? lol Maybe we will see him in a more light hearted role or even a comedy and get to see another side of him.

For me its his eyes that are a little creepy.
The poster above is probably just confusing his role in Mystic River with his role in Unbreakable. Now Mystic River, that was a good movie with a solid cast, including Treat Clark.
shareI just saw him on Law and Order SVU and i was like whoa I remeber that kid from somewhere- DJ and i remember those eyes which are almost hollow like he's a droid- like hayley Joel osments character in AI. just creepy.
