Meeting Lynda

I had the great fortune of meeting Lynda a week ago after her show in Franklin, TN.

First of all, the show was fantastic. The band was out of this world, and of course, Lynda did not disappoint. She never missed a note, was gracious as could be, and created the most happy atmosphere throughout. Having been a fan since 1975, even I was taken aback how great her voice is...even better in person than she sounds on the albums she's released (including "Portrait," and I love all three).

After the show, Lynda came out to greet those of us in the "meet & greet" section. She had to be exhausted, but she didn't let that get in the way or affect how she treated her fans. I told her how much she's affected my life in such an amazing way. I told her she and the show itself meant so much, and had such a positive energy. She truly seemed touched, as I'm hoping she knew I was being genuine.

Here's to many more years of Lynda performing and doing what she loves. I'm so glad I got a chance to meet this classy lady, who is beautiful both inside and out.

No, she is not. Maryland voter records show she has been a registered Democrat since 1992.

Even if it were true, so what? Only those of limited intelligence are concerned over something as trivial as an actor's choice of political party. Since she holds no elected office and therefore has no power over anyone, it truly is irrelevant.

Check your facts:
In 2016, she endorses Hillary Clinton:

In 2008, she despised Republican Sarah Palin:
Wonder Woman speaks her mind

Don’t get me started. She’s the anti-Wonder Woman. She’s judgmental and dictatorial, telling people how they’ve got to live their lives. And a superior religious self-righteousness … that’s just not what Wonder Woman is about. Hilary Clinton is a lot more like Wonder Woman than Mrs. Palin. She did it all, didn’t she?

Your story literally brought me to tears. I fell in love with Lynda as a kid in the late 70's, completely mesmerized by her as Diana Prince and Wonder Woman. The show was a big part of my childhood, and the way Lynda played this character with such a perfect mix of empathy, compassion, strength, kindness, and humor, helped form my earliest thoughts of what a strong, empowered female should be. Of course I didn't realize that at seven years old, but looking back as an adult, I can see what a great role model this character was, and I feel fortunate that it was a part of my formative years. For that, I give all the credit to Lynda, because it's what she brought as an actress and as a human being that made Wonder Woman so magical, so enduring.

It warms my heart to hear stories like yours, which validate everything I've always felt about this amazing, beautiful, talented lady. I hope she continues to do what she loves, and what people love her for.

Thank you so much for sharing YOUR story, Nightflyre9. We must be about the same age. I'm 44, and feel exactly for Lynda the way you describe. She truly did influence our generation more than most people could realize. I'm so glad to have been around (and that age) when Lynda showed the world what and who a Wonder Woman truly is. She will always be Wonder Woman. Her performance in that role seemed effortless. She was born to play Diana. No one can compare, as I'm sure you agree. Best wishes to you!

It was my pleasure. And yes, I absolutely agree Lynda was born to play Diana. I'm curious to see how Gal Gadot navigates this role in the upcoming film, but I know I'll be comparing her to Lynda! Lol. Best wishes to you as well!
