Native American ancestry?

Seen this mentioned in a few places. I did notice she looked slightly Asian in "The Illusionist", and finding out about her supposed Native American ancestry, thought it explained it.

Nothing about it in bio on IMDB though, I notice.

That's what I 1st thought too til I read her bio. She has high cheek bones & full lips which give her that Native look a little. I was surprised to read she didn't have any Native descent in her at all.

reply

Wikipedia mentions that she has Choctaw ancestry.

Thx Mari

She doesn't have Native American ancestry. She has Hungarian-Jewish heritage.

Why the F does IMDB members always played down when the subject of Native-American or Asian comes up? Just frickin' admit that she looks Asian with (or possibly w/o) Native-American ancestry. You know who else looks Asian???
Rosamund Pike and Michelle Dockery, and many others!

Hungarian and Jewish can have Asian features.
She can pass easily by Hungarian or Romanian. She can also have some native heritage. Wouldn't be strange at all. I came from the south of Brazil. 1/3 of the population has German heritage in my state. There was also a huge mix with natives here... Se could pass easily as a "gaucha" - a southern Brazilian woman, like Alessandra Ambrosio and Gisele Bundchen.

Hi I love to look up my family tree and it was said that my Mom's Great Grandmother was an orphaned Shawnee indian baby adopted by German immigrant parents and my Mom's Great Grandmother was from Virginia (now West Virginia) but no one was ever able to prove the Native American (Shawnee Indian) so I decided to get my DNA tested and the first DNA test it said I was 46% German (which made sense since my Mom/Grandmother/Great Grandmtoher's maiden names are/were of German ancestry, then the shocker it said that I was 46% Greek, and no mention of Native American came up, so then the DNA company was able to move my DNA from their company to another DNA company and also Greek came up again but no mention of Native American.

So then last summer I had my Dad get his DNA tested through Ancestrydna only because we did not know where our last name came from and we think that we are now English, but so again I decided for the 3rd and final time to get my DNA tested from Ancestrydna and again no mention of Native American, but Italy/Greece did show up on my Ancestrydna so more then likely my Mom's Great Grandmother was NOT Native American but she was of Greek Ancestros but the 2 copy pictures that I have of my Mom's Great Grandmother she is wearing a weird kind of outfit with pants and she had beads on her outfit as well, and that copy of the picture was taken about 1878 and then the 2nd picture the lady is a lot older but had cornrows in her hair, yes it would of been nice to say that I am part Native American but more then likely I am not Native American I am Greek.

But yes I do see a little bit Asian in her when watching 7th Heaven and a few of her movies.

Maybe she was orphaned with a Shawnee tribe who took her in then had a change of heart and handed her over to the Germans? Happens to everyone
