Continuing Aronofsky theme in Noah?


Every single one of his previous films have dealt with obsession/insanity. I'm personally really hoping Noah does as well. It's such a cohesive filmography so far that I can't see him entirely breaking away from that theme. Thoughts?

Black swan was my least Darren Aronofsky movie as with the wrestler and fountain they were shot very differently then requiem/pi. But I felt black swan was a step backwards and was way too reminiscent to requiem/pi. I hope his new movie shows new elements that his previous movies havent

Noah's obsession with the creator's ambiguous messages drove him to insanity. Humanity's will to survival pushed people to the extremes. Yeah the themes are still there. But of course, all his movies go further than just obsession/insanity.
