Nolan isn't....

One tenth the filmmaker Darren is.

I actually agree. Maybe not to the extreme you say but Darren's films resonate with me more than Nolan's work.

Darren's a more consistent director in terms of story and representing an idea in film. Nolan seems more technically experimental, which garners him well deserved praise, but very few of his films have inspired me from a story standpoint.

I guess I think Darren is ultimately the better storyteller but they're both incredibly talented.

I absolutely agree. Nolan just got more mainstream after getting the batman project where he didnt do a bad job but the main difference between them is Nolan creates more mainstream movies with hollywoodish themes and is not as creative as Aronofsky.

Aronofsky is more subtle more intelligent and less pretentious.

Nolan is better IMO Even though I am not include his mainsteam movie like Batman Trilogy.
-Following (7.6)
-Memento (8.5)
-Insomnia (7.2)
-The Prestige (8.5)
-Inception (8.8)
-Interstellar (8.6)

Darren is not more intelligent and less pretentious. Inception was similar to Paprika in term of idea. Darren's Black Swan was even worse totally clone of Perfect Blue.
-Pi (7.5)
-Requeim for a Dream (8.4)
-The Fountain (7.3)
-The Wrestler (7.9)
-Black Swan (8.0)
-Noah (5.8)
