Has never starred in a good movie in her entire career
She's been acting since the 1990s and has 20+ movies under her belt. Only 1 has been good, however, and she wasn't even the star in it.
Let's go through them in ascending order:
Camp Nowhere: Bad movie (5.5), and she had a negligible role.
Never Been Kissed: Bad movie (6.0), and she had a supporting role.
Idle Hands: Bad movie (6.2), and she had a supporting role.
Paranoid: Horrible movie (3.9)
The Sleeping Dictionary: Bad movie. It has a passable score on here (6.6), but the critics (See Rotten Tomatoes) burned it.
Honey: Bad movie (5.2)
Sin City: Good movie, but her role was somewhat supportive. The movie, by design, didn't have any "star."
Fantastic Four: Bad movie (5.7)
Into the Blue: Bad movie (5.8) that failed embarrassingly at the box office
The Ten: Bad movie (5.2)
Fantastic Four, Silver Surfer: Bad movie (5.6)
Good Luck Chuck: Bad movie (5.6)
Meet Bill: Bad movie (6.4)
Awake : Bad movie. It has a passable score here (6.6), but 22% Rotten Tomatoes. Alba was also a supporting cast member, as Hayden Christenson dominated screen-time.
The Eye: Bad movie (5.4)
The Love Guru: Horrible movie (3.8)
The Killer Inside Me: Poor movie, 6.2 and 55% Rotten Tomatoes.
Spy Kids 4D: Horrible movie (3.6)
Sin City, A Dame to Kill For: Bad movie (6.6 + 43% Rotten Tomatoes)
Stretch: Bad movie (6.6), and Alba had a minor role.
Valentine's Day: Bad movie (5.8)
Machete: Passable movie (6.7 and 72% Rotten Tomatoes), but Alba had a minor role.
An Invisible Sign: Bad movie (5.4).
Little Fockers: Bad movie (5.4)
A.C.O.D.: Bad movie (5.7)
Altogether, she has made just one good movie (Sin City) and one passable movie (Machete). Her roles in these movies were also minor. All of the movies in which she was the star have failed. Eleven of her movies have attracted attention at the Razzies.
Furthermore, her star power (i.e. - looks) doesn't result in box-office success. Her most successful movies at the box-office were the two Fantastic Four flicks + Little Fockers, and both were successful largely because they are established franchises. Valentine's Day in 2010 drew 110 million, but this movie had an ensemble cast. Only one other movie in her career drew over 38 million, and once again, it was a movie in which Alba was not the primary star (Sin City ).
I think Alba demonstrates society's shameful fascination with beauty, for someone lacking as much talent as Alba should not have an acting career.
