He has great character development on the show - and plays the straight man extremely well, with his own very unique and hilarious quirks. I love how when he first came on the show he was this cold state auditor, but he turns out to be a huge dork who really cares for everyone else. He's one of my favorite characters by far. I think you just saw the first couple of episodes where he came out, you gotta keep watching. He's brilliant.
