My personal favorite Stooge

Who else thought Larry was the best of the 3 Stooges?

reply

He was the best. Always trying to do the right thing and would get the wrath of Moe. And he did it all with a straight face

reply

When I was little my favorite was Curly, but when I got around 9 or 10 Larry became my fav. He was more of a relatable straight man amongst the chaos.

he was fine

This reply deserves more credit.

COUNT ME AMONG THE LARRY LOVERS...DEFINITELY MY FAVORITE STOOGE...IVE ALWAYS LIKED DAVID PAYMER JUST A LITTLE MORE BASED ON HIM REMINDING ME OF LARRY.

reply

Curly was my favorite, but Larry was a close second. I always hated Moe. We will not even mention Joe and Curly Joe. Those films never happened.

reply

I liked Moe for his executive and leadership abilities! Plus he was funny. But Larry or Shemp were my favorites.

agree

Just caught this on the front page and wondered what there was to say about porcupine! ;-)
Larry was my favorite stooge too. I also liked Shemp, and Moe too. The Curlies were kind of irritating. Larry seemed like the mellow reasonable Stooge ... yet, still a stooge!

A former girlfriend of mine was from Vietnam back in the day of the boat people. She knew the Stooges and is among the only women I have ever met who thought they were funny, but she used to call them the Three Stogies ... stogies like cigars. obviously she she did not know idiomatic pronunciations.

Today I have little interest in the Stooges, but when I was a kid I loved those guys and thought they were endlessly funny and amusing.

Larry Fine is the only Stooge who was not a Howard brother.
