One of the finest actors of all time

Outrageously underrated. First, Katie Hopkins or whatever his name is, copped an Oscar for the role that Brian Cox had already perfected in Manhunter (the original 'Red Dragon' adaptation directed by Michael Mann). I've been told that author Thomas Harris was impressed by Cox's performance in that film and inspired by him to develop the Lecter character further for the Silence of the Lambs, his follow-up novel. Then along came his namesake, pretty boy celebrity physicist and unfortunately most people think of the latter whenever his name is mentioned these days... something the great actor himself acknowledges with good humour. Bless him.

He's great in "Succession", but his "Agamemnon in Troy was terrible. Mostly that was bad casting though.

Never been bad.

Super Troopers not withstanding.

Didn't know he was in that.
