About his death

After suffering from a heart attack on July 12th, 2012 did he ever regain consciousness before his death in Sept 3rd, 2012?

Reports are that he remained in the hospital, but its unclear if he was brain dead as a result of having the heart attack, or just so weak (but conscious) that he couldn't leave.

According to the article below, he suffered major brain damage due to oxygen deprivation but it doesn't say he was brain dead. I presume that means he had some brain activity but I've found nothing online that really says whether he regained consciousness or not.

I can't find any articles but I remember local news covering his condition on ABC7 (L.A.) and the one key detail I remember was that he had a major cardio failure that required a machine-assisted heart pump which is why he stayed in the hospital. There was no detail in terms of his consciousness or brain activity and all of the information was coming out of MCD's publicist, not even Omorosa would talk to the public about it.

Still miss michael clarke Duncan, one of the good guys

Agreed, he was one of the good guys. Watching a rerun of Two and a half Men (before Charlie left, I refuse to watch the new episodes). Got one of the episodes with MCD in it. Damn shame he passed away. Seemed like a genuine good guy with some quality acting and appreciation for comedy.
