"The Great Moment"

I like just about everything else Sturges made, but this one is a total mess, almost unwatchable.

I haven't seen The Great Moment.

My least favourite of those I've seen is Christmas in July - nice concept, pleasant but forgettable film.

Sturges is perhaps the most consistent director of all time. He directed only 13 films, and 9 of the first 10 are more or less perfect films, with The Great Moment being the one weak link. Moreover, he directed 7 films in his first 5 years of film-making, and every one of them is a masterpiece.

Christmas in July doesn't have quite the punch of some of his very best films, but I think it's the funniest film he ever directed, and a very endearing film.

Idiot OP and all who agree with him.

Okay, moron.

The Beautiful Blonde from Bashful Bend

I've only watched it once, looong ago, because I came away disappointed based on how great his other films are. I probably should rewatch it, as Sturges is my favorite director, and everything else he did is excellent, though I assume I won't come away loving it the second time around.
