She's not religious but she does talk about about her sense of Jewish identity here:

AB: You were raised by a Jewish mother in NYC. How, if at all, would you say your Jewish heritage plays into your life today?

ER: My mother instilled in me the Jewish code of ethics and morals. That stays with me very strongly every day. I enjoy having Shabbat dinner with my close friends, even though it is not something I grew up doing weekly.

Considering the fact that her parents divorced before she was born and she's met her father twice, I doubt he plays much role at all in her sense of religious identity.

Her father is not Jewish

You are so on the right track pantherfan99. Emmy Rossum was the cutest young lady ever in The Day After Tomorrow. But in Beautiful Creatures she was the hottest creature. Wow. That scene where she gets out of the car wearing that mini-dress is something I'm going to remember for a while. She has really grown up to be a wonderfully beautiful young woman. She's got a long career ahead of herself in Hollywood.
