Problem is after idiot David Goyer is done pillaging Miller's masterpiece for the upcoming Batman VS Superman movie they wont touch that material for quite a while. A damn shame.

It's not really THAT influenced by it, maybe the Bat suit looks the same but there's no Carrie Kelley or anything. Anybody can direct an older Batman and not borrow from Dark Knight Returns.

I've seen plenty reference in the trailers alone. But the fact that the showdown between Batman and Superman is completely lifted from TDKR is what i'm talking about. You can't tell TDKR story without that end battle, so for an adaptation is gonna be a long wait , if they ever do it at all, because obviously we can't have another fight with those two so similar so soon.

Or live action Batman Beyond.
