A Change In Her Acting?

I have watched Law and Order SVU and although I miss the Elliot Stabler character, I always thought the show was well written and comprised wonderful actors. I don't know what it is, but I don't think Mariska is up to her usual standards with her performance. This is not bashing her at all, but I think she is started to almost "over act" and I noticed she constantly whispers to emphasize her emotions and it becomes almost annoying. I never remembered her doing that so much and it seems very contrived. She is not the believable character she once was, at least in my opinion and I think her acting has changed drastically and not for the better.
