She and Biden have been friends for several years and have worked closely together on many topics related to violence against women. Mariska founded, and is president of, the Joyful Heart Foundation and has long been a huge advocate for numerous organizations, parts of organizations, and campaigns, including The JHF, No MORE, End the Backlog, and 1 in 6 (among others).
Biden will be appearing on the second episode of SVU this season, and his appearance will reportedly be related to the End the Backlog campaign.
