Walk of Fame standards

One Emmy One Golden Globe No People's Choice or SAG especially the year 2006 you win Emmy.On one of the longest running shows because of the franchise and your various hairstyles each year, and yet you too can receive a star on the Walk of Fame. Like Jim Parsons and Kaley Cuoco on ensemble shows to me if the show is good hard to pick out just one stand alone cast member. Reports she makes almost $500,000 a year now. I believe that's the reason they chose to keep her on over Meloni. Still sad that sometimes mediocrity is rewarded. And let's not even hide your head under the sand and not see RACE as a contributing factor as well.

Actually, she makes about that much PER EPISODE, not per year.

And let's not even hide your head under the sand and not see RACE as a contributing factor as well.

And there it is... Can someone, anyone, start a topic and NOT bring race into it? PLEASE?? I'm so so so sick of it being dragged into every single thing. Race has nothing to do with anything. Did you ever stop to think that the reason more white people are in movies and Tv is because whites represent over 75% of the population, and black people make up just over 12%. So there are more white actors out there.

In addition, the number of awards one receives has nothing to do with how good of an actor they are. Plenty of fantastic actors are passed up each year in favor of the Hollywood "it" people. I think her star was deserved.

Lastly, Christopher Meloni WANTED to leave Law & Order.

Meloni QUIT, They wanted him to stay. He didnt get what he wanted in the negotiations, so he walked.

Meloni has had some plum roles in films, so he seems content. He still appears in some of Mariska's PSAs about domestic violence and sex crimes, so they clearly remain friendly.

The OP needs to step into the world of reality. Hargitay's work on SVU not only has been stellar, but it also has helped countless victims of sexual/domestic violence to come from the shadows and to fight back. That alone is worth a star on the walk of fame, and I don't even put much store in such things. Also, sustaining a series for nearly 17 years is an impressive accomplishment; Mariska has been blessed with good ensemble casts, but she is often the catalyst.

Put puppy mills out of business: never buy dogs from pet shops! 
