Irreversible....

Vincent is a good actor.. He first caught my eye in a Great French film called "Brotherhood fo the Wolf" this film holds a special place in my heart as it was then I took my wife on our first date.. I love films liek this and though it was unique and very entertaining.

Moving I started looking on IMDB for some more films with Mr. Cassell and found a film called "Irreversible" what prompted interest was the concept of the film that it plays in reverse IE the beginning of the movie is the end and has it continues it shows what led up to that ending. I will say it is a very disturbing film that has so much graphic imagery including a violent head bashing in a "Sex Den" that looks extremely real... As well as a extended Rape scene of the main Actress "Monica Belluci" the power of this scene is that it is a locked shot for the whole scene not cuts. and is very graphic. There is something so eerie and realistic about this particular scene I still think of it from time to time.

Definetly not a film for the squemish. It was interesting at this time I found out he was married to Monica his costar in this film...Ms. Belluci is an absolute classic Beauty (You will know her most from the Matrix 2 Kissing NEO scene) Just kind of furthered my interest in Vincent Cassell.. Films to see of his.
