What made him reappear for this?
shareHe probably agreed to do this since it's on Starz, which I think is either Canadian or British. I have a feeling he left on bad terms from Hollywood but has no issue with Canada, Australia, or U.K.
shareThere's speculation he had a falling out with Rick Baker around the time of The Howling, that he wasn't really a people person, maybe that and the issues of working on RoboCop contributed to him leaving the industry.
His last film credits Mr Deeds and Serving Sara aren't exactly films that people talk about.
Yes but RoboCop was late 80's/early 90's(if he worked on the first 3) I just have the lingering feeling he tired of all the BS, he became negative about the industry, maybe missed out on directing Friday the 13th and that was the final straw. He might pay his union dues and do the absolute minimum to keep his benefits going. I just hope he's doing well and I can only thank him for being a huge influence during my younger years. All those thousands of hours of hard work truly do mean a lot to me.
