I never knew he wrote She's A Lady". He also wrote the" Buddy Holly classic " It Doesn't Matter Anymore". A very talented guy, although his heyday was before my time.

shareGeez, he p.o.'d a lot of feminists with "You're Having My Baby". As I've gotten older, I don't see the problem with that song. Isn't it natural that a woman would want to have the baby she created with the man she loved?
He did a very nice thing for Buddy Holly's widow. The song he wrote for him became a big hit after he perished in a plane crash. Paul Anka gave his royalties to Mrs. Holly.
It's a sweet song with a sweet thought behind it. I'll leave it at that...
