Is it true that she is planning to retire ?

A friend of mine sent me an article from People en español that she said she is planning to retire after RED 2 but when I looked for more information i couldn't find anything.

Do you think this could have been a joke or has anyone read something similar, I know right now she is in treatment but I don't think she is planning a retirement or at least I hope she won't.

Really?

I don't know. I hope it's not true. I heard she was checking herself in clinic just to make more films, but who knows.

I will never forget you, rural juror.

With her ego, she'll never retire.

Well it seems it was right !
Catherine was only in "Dad's Army" since "Red 2" and "The Godmother" seems dead.

Greed is good !

Maybe this is true, maybe with her health problem she wants to dedicate more time to herself and to her family. She can afford to do that for sure (you know, to have an early retirement).

If it's true, it's a pity for all her fans like myself. I'm pretty sure that with her talent she still can deliver much more to the world of cinema, she still can present much more rich characters. Still, we all fans have the treasure she gave us on screen like her Velma Kelly, Elena De la Vega, Catherine the Great, Dr. Victoria Siebert, Gin and much more.

If an early retirement is true... then a big "thank you" from her fans. If that's not true, then we will wait for much more on screen.

That's a very positive way of seing it and its also the best way to see things when our favorites are in decline of their fame. With a very few exceptions most of the fans of actors of the 90s have to reapeat something similar of what you said to ourselves.

"If they make a comeback and their careers resurrect fantastic if they don't we have thousands of films to remember their glory days."
I do repeat this to myself with Pierce Brosnan and Catherine Zeta Jones. Sure they are still working but the roles they get now its far cry from what they got in their prime."

And it doesn't sadden me anymore what most of the actors of the 90s are going through now us fans are witnessing this is something every movie star went through and happens to all sooner or latter.

Im happy they had 10 years of a very good career and we can always watch their old films, Pierce in some way looks like he gets it.seems like he is not persuing anymore romantic leading man roles instead he is fine doing supporting roles or leading roles where he doesn't get the love scenes.

For Nevember Man while he was the lead he took the back seat when it came to get the hot girls and gave love scene to luke Bracey. For me that meant i had my fun days of playing seducers now its the turn to the new generations.
So if my favorite actor understands so why wouldn't i?

Robert De Niro and Al Pacino as good as they are, their shining star is turning off, Sean Connery retired officially at 70years old because he knew the roles for the actors in his age group were getting worse and he is an actor who got a second chance in the 80s.

Right After Bond he many turds then 20 years latter his career revived with other types of roles. Catherine could get that so could Pierce but I won't hold my bresth waiting for it to happen anymore ( i used to but i got enlightened). Their chances of a comeback are really slim so whatever happens im happy
