What's the big fuss over her face?

I can't get what all the hoo ha is. I haven't seen Alicia in anything for quite a long time but i saw her in The Walking Dead the other day and recognised her straight away. I see people going crazy about how different she looks and how she's had plastic surgery but she looked ok to me. She looks like Alicia Witt but a bit older, hey, it happens to us all, she's still pretty, can still act and I wasn't freaking out over her when i watched the episode. She doesn't look like she's had work done to me but I'm not her boyfriend, her parent or her publicist so i wouldn't know but if you want obvious examples of plastic surgery, go take a look at Lauren Holly, Meg Ryan or Renee Zellwegger. If Alicia has had work done I can't see it so she must have a bloody good surgeon :-)

"Hasta la vista, baby."

Sexism rooted in culture. It's not just from men though, the first thing women often notice is another woman's looks, especially when related to age.

I'm surprised at all the negative comments, too. She looks just as pretty now as she did in the 90s, and natural....I don't get where the surgery comments are coming from. She looks great.

reply

What negative comments? She’s gorgeous. Negatives comments not worth reading to me.

reply

I agree. I think she looks great

reply

How is it sexism then?

reply

Agreed she looks like she aged naturally.

reply

Who's saying she had surgery? No way!! She looks exactly as she should for her age. She can't help having good genes, people!

reply

I dont know what is it either. She's as gorgeous as she always been.

Ambivalent sexism. Sexism isn't solely one sex to the other. People can be sexist within their own gender by endorsing/reinforcing sexist views of their own gender.
