His First Role?

I recently watched the movie Last Embrace and thought I spotted Forest Whitaker. There is a scene at a college where you can see a young black male whose eyes look very similar to Whitaker’s for a moment in the background. Now Last Embrace came out in 1979, so he would have been about 17-18 back then. Theoretically it could have been him, but I don’t see him listed anywhere.
