Forest's left eye - what happened to him?

I'm finally catching up online with watching "Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior" and I noticed that Forest's left eye looks swollen; like he got punched or something - yet it's noticable in multiple episodes. I don't remember him having this in his earlier work.

Did he have a stroke, a heartattack or something? I'm just wondering if this was a health issue.

His eye is like that in The Experiment too. Idk why

Swollen? You mean his lazy eye (ptosis)? He's always had that, though at times it's more noticeable than others.

Rest in Peace Michael Clarke Duncan, your smile will be missed.
RIP Al Freeman Jr.

This must be a relatively new eye problem. I first noticed it in The Shield. But his eye was just fine in Eastwood's film about Charlie Parker. Bird. An excellent film by the way!

As far back as I can remember Forest has had that "lazy eye" and yes it is more noticeable at different times. I can remember back 20 years at the very least so I wouldn't say it's new at all. I'm pretty sure he was born that way. To think of it, he was in Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982) and you can see his eye issue there. It's kind of hard for me to remember what films the eye is more noticeable in b/c I just know it's there so I don't really keep tabs on it but he used to be known for the eye, people would talk about this all the time. It's been a good while since I saw Bird so I can't say whether it shows or not but as I said before I'm used to it. In any event he definitely had the issue in that film, whether it was visible or not. My cousin has the same condition (ptosis) and he was born with it. There was a running joke in my family that Forest was his father, lol. I hadn't thought of that in years.

Wow, this guy has been around a long time--how do you NOT know about his eye? Because it's genetic, he has always had it...and it has always been obvious. Every role, every show. It's so much a part of who he is, it's listed here on IMDb as one of his "trademarks". Nothing has happened, he's just fine.

He's always had one glass eye...you guys don't know that?

That's a seriously early pic, and I've even forgotten his scenes in the movie....I only focus in the most memorable part, and that's when Phoebe Cates takes her top off. The earliest I remember Whitaker was from Bloodsport.
