I never really questioned this but just saw the joy luck club on tv, her nose was completely different?

Yeah she had a nose job for sure.

Every single celebrity from Natalie Portman to Angelina Jolie has had their noses done. Ming-Na has a good one though. It doesn't immediately stand out as 'done'.
