The great Tuesday Weld

I'm so in love with this actress...very naturalistic and thoughtful, and had the very rare knack for NOT APPEARING TO BE ACTING.

Beautiful, of course (a child model since the age of 2 or something), she goes on record for perhaps turning down the greatest number of hits ever enmassed by a performer; Lolita, Bonnie and Clyde, Rosemary's Baby, True Grit, Valley of the Dolls, Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice, The Stepford Wives...even The Rocky Horror Picture Show (!)

She is unfathomable...and perfect : )

I've always thought she was very good, kind of fit right in with whatever part she was playing or theme she was involved in.

she still alive ???

reply

Yes she is; she'll be 74 in August. I heard she drank hard when she was young (and I mean YOUNG, like twelve years old), but I guess her body's pretty resilient, plus I feel nobody's really "old" anymore until they reach 80. She hasn't acted in forever though (2001).

when I saw her pic I assumed she had died - glad to hear otherwise - she was hot way back

Yeah, I was surprised about the age of the pic too; the other week on the Madonna board it was brought up that a more recent photo of hers was used, so I'd thought the same would be done with most everyone's profile pic. With Tuesday Weld, she was around for so long that there are a lot of era specific photos to choose from (this one here looks like mid to late 1960's). I thought Weld looked great well into films in the 1980's such as "Thief" or "Once Upon a Time in America"; like a more subtle-looking version of Zsa Zsa Gabor, and with more talent.
