R.I.P.

I read he actually died on February the 10th, but it's only recently been reported.

Damn. I thought he died a few years ago.

Haven't seen him in anything since Airwolf. He dropped out of the limelight after that.I think i remember reading he had a motorcycle accident and messed up his face.

Sad to read this. There were rumors about his death a few weeks ago - but no one confirmed it. I thought it was just a 'rumor' - but I guess it was true.

Handsome guy - I remember him in the 70s and 80s.

Rest in peace, String. Go fly The Lady with Dom through the valley.

He did some direct-to-video stuff after Airwolf, a silly show that I enjoyed (Earnest Borgnine! Marty! RED!). J-M V had a serious drinking problem, sadly, from what I’ve gleaned, as did (does?) Jean-Claude van Damme. I once made. joke, “Jan-Michael Vincent and Jean-Claude van Damme walk into a bar—and never walk out.” He died too young, regardless of his personal demons. The short version of what I’m thinking is: we need to have more interventions in the world of show business. We’ve had too many tormented, sensitive, helpless souls die.

PS MikeCable, that was a really kind, caring post. Bravo.
