Anyone know what Rip's drink of choice is?

I ask because I was having a discussion about him with my g/f and I guessed him likely to be a vodka or whiskey drinker, with gin coming in a close third.

I've been sober 2 years and my drink of choice was vodka, and many drunken hijinks (and I don't mean to make light of the incidents by calling them such) ensued during my drunken times (which, for a period of several years, was actually ALL times) which leads me to my estimations.

So, anyone know the answer to this? I've googled it but of course the only result I can find is the favorite drink of his character on The Larry Sanders show, which was a salty dog...which honestly wouldn't surprise me if it were actually his favorite IRL considering it contains either vodka or gin, depending on preference.

Thanks for your time.

P.S. I don't mean this post as a slam to Rip whatsoever, I actually admire the man as an actor and wish him the best in his struggles with alcohol addiction.

Drink, whether Rip's Drink of choice or otherwise, nearly ruined his life, and on more than one occasion; the latest being his stint of attempting to break into a bank! I ADORE Rip and think he's one of the best actors, ever to grace the cinema and stage but seriously, his drink of choice should be anything but alcohol, at least at this stage in his life. He's 81, God bless him!

I used to bartend in LA about 5 years ago and Rip was a regular. He would only drink Makers Mark.

Rip's drink of choice would simply be alcohol. I don't know if he would really care what it was. LOL.

Heavy drinkers always have a favorite

My first guess, confirmed by another post, was that Rip was a brown liquor man

Some kind of whiskey

Probably Bourbon
