didn't like his Randy character

I've got nothing against JTT think he was great in Home Improvement
but I always hated his Randy character
I just found him to be rude ungrateful disrespectful arrogant dickhead.
he's often rude/mean to his brothers especially Mark. He often disrespects his parents mostly Tim for example he called his fathers show fool time behind Tim's back. another time when Tim gets him a meeting with his boss he's rude to the boss due to their poor environmental record which could have lost his Father his job. When Mark saves his arse from getting a whooping does Randy thank him? no he makes a mean comment about Mark which reminds me he hardly ever said thanks. the very few times brad/mark outshine him he acts like a massive *beep* like when more people read Brad section in the school newspaper then his he can't accept that other people are more interested in what Brad writes and dismisses it as stupid and lame. he seems to think he better then everyone(or at least his family) and anyone who think differently is an idiot. he's one of they only characters I've ever wished to get a punch in the gob

I didn't care for his character either.

Not saying his behavior is excusable, but maybe the writers were trying to emphasize the middle child syndrome? I used to love the show when I was younger. Maybe I need to watch it again and see how I feel about his character now!

It was briefly on the Hallmark Channel. It still holds up and he's still annoying.

Funny, the Randy character was always my favorite. He had the best lines, and his delivery was spot on.

The reason I think later in the series, as he became more mature, the character of Randy evolved more. Even though he could have cost Tim his job at Tool Time, he spoke his mind. He volunteered at a soup kitchen and at a hospice. He always had to work harder to be noticed, which is why he was upset when Brad's article wound up on the front page instead of his thoroughly researched piece. And as for Mark saving his butt? Come on, Mark was always a thorn in Randy AND Brad's side, and having your little brother save you, as well as the story being in the school paper, could be a little embarrassing.
