Most likely all of the above. She probably didn't sleep with any producers, and she's a conservative. Those two things won't land you jobs in liberal hollywood. She did have a decent career, she just didn't become a huge star like many of her fans/hollywood insiders expected.

She has over 90 acting credits. That's pretty steady work. I think it might just be that she was a pretty face, and still is, but it's not like she is the best actress out there. I'd say she's done pretty well.

Nobody knew or cared what her politics were until the last four years or so.
