4] MY HOUSE IN UMBRIA (2003)
5] LOVE AND PAIN AND THE WHOLE DAMN THING (1973)
6] KEEPING MUM (2005)

– – And quite a few of the films that she only has a supporting role in.

My least favorites are:

1] NOWHERE TO GO (1958)
2] BECOMING JANE (2007)
3] MOMENTO MORI (????)
4] MURDER BY DEATH (1975)
5] THE PUMPKIN EATER (1964)

---------------------------------

In general, I think the 90s and 2000s were the best time of her career, movie wise. The films that she did during those decades captured the real spirit of what makes her screen presence so special – humorous, gentle, sophisticated, poetic, and sweet.

She had many great films in the 70s and 80s as well, and a few in the 60s. But I think that the 90s and 2000s were really the apex of her movie career, in terms of productivity and screen presence.

I would say that the 2010s is probably the weakest so far (other than the 1950s and early 60s, of course). There just hasn't been a movie of hers made in the 2010's yet that has really captured me (with the exception of THE BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL movies) like the ones made in the 2000's.

What do you think?

Please excuse typos/funny wording; I use speech-recognition that doesn't always recognize!
