Dude, having had a couple of attacks of diverticulitus myself, I can tell you that if you're suffering from some kind of IBS attack, you're lucky you're not tearing apart furniture with your bare hands and screaming. I've never felt so much pain in my life, and heavy doses of pain killers just take the edge off, if at all.
