Favorite Performance? (Besides Quint)

For me, it's King Henry VIII from A Man for All Seasons.

reply

A Man for All Seasons is one of my favorite movies.

Other favorites

Grant - From Russia With Love
Lord Randolph Churchill - Young Winston
Doyle Lonnegan - The Sting (him more than the movie)
Bernard Ryder aka Blue - The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (him more than the movie)

If I had to name one besides Quint...tough but I'll say The Sting.

The Taking of Pelham One Two Three

you got that right!! he was tremendous in "Seasons'.....kinda the way I imagine the young Henry would have been like!! great job!!!!

This was tough one. I'm going with :
Black Sunday

The Sting was pretty good too.

I am embarrassed to say when I answered this, I had forgotten he was in The Taking of Pelham One Two Three

Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin & Marion.

reply

Agreed, that's a really good one.

As Stanley in 'The Birthday Party.' He's an unshaven slob in specs who plays up ditzy Dandy Nichols in that one.

The Deep (1977)
The Taking of Pelham 123 (1974)
From Russia with Love (1963)

A Man For All Seasons is his best performance. But, DAMN!, he is sexy as f in Battle Of The Bulge and From Russia With Love. He should have always stuck with the blond look.
