Related to Katharine Hepburn?

A lot of years ago I had been told that Katharine Ross was somehow related to Katharine Hepburn, a niece or grand niece?

Cannot find anything on-line connecting the two; help, please?

Maybe Katharine Houghton is who you heard about? They do look alike.

No, as someone else noted, Katherine Houghton is the one who is related to Miss Hepburn. They did look a lot alike though.

I believe Katherine Ross is Katherine Hepburn's and Spencer Tracy's daughter.

That is interesting because I read Katherines birth name was
Katherine Houghton Hepburn But She is the aunt to Katherine Houghton so they are related

Apparently she had no children here is a qoute from her 9Katherine Hepburn )

i have heard that katherine hepburn is her auntie or thats how it was portrayed, and that she is actually katherine hepburn's and spencer tracy's daughter.....

and also if she had no children in her marriages of course she is not going to admit that she had a child out of wedlock after all considering the times and the fact that spencer tracy wouldn't divorce his wife because he/she were catholic...i doubt he is going to admit to having love child

Okay, settle down everyone - Katharine Ross is NOT the lovechild of Hepburn and Tracy. She was born two years before they ever met. Perhaps the confusion stems from the fact that Katharine Ross has mentioned many times how annoyed she gets when people misspell her first name - giving it an "e" instead of an "a". To drive home the point she usuually says that her name is K-A-T-H-A-R-I-N-E, like Hepburn (to my knowledge she has never said "like Mom" so let's let this one die).
