KATHERINE'S SAM TIMELINE (INTERESTING)

1974: Things not gong that well for Sam; guest spots on TV shows.

1975: Does Lifeguard.

1976: Gets POed with Paramount because Lifeguard was marketed as a sex movie.
Gets pretty much blackballed with the American studios because of it.

1976-7: A couple of OK TV miniseries. Things not going that well again.

1978: Sam gets feature work in England. Enter Katherine Ross, 38 with 4 failed marriages. Starred in 3 landmark movies. Hmmmmmmm. Opportunity knocks. Combine his name with hers to raise his fame (and paycheck)..an old Hollywood trick. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

1983: 1 bombed feature, 1 bombed pilot and 2 TV movies under their
belt together.

1984: Katherine is a gal in trouble via a Christmas present from Sam. They get married.

1991: The 2 lovebirds are on the Arsenio Hall show. Sam is clearly in a bad mood and starts getting real rude and sniping at Katherine, voicing his annoyance and disapproval of marriage and family life. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Where did you find the info about Katharine being married 5 times? I have researched her and I can't find anything about that rumor. Do you know for a fact that Leonard Maltin was correct?

It was in a reference book (99% sure it was a Leonard Maltin book) that gave a brief description and critique (about a paragraph or so) of the actors in it. I think the copyright date was either 1984 or 1994. The information may have been under Sam Elliott's description/critigue.

On what basis do you draw these assumptions? Noting some nebulous book written in either 1984 or 1994, in the absence of any other reference in the world, regarding the number of marriages she has had is ridiculous. And if she was married 4 times before, what does that have to do with her marriage to Sam Elliott, which has last for 23 years. They were a couple when they made The Legacy in 1978, so it's not like her becoming pregnant was a calculated event to raise their career quotients. And WHY do you keep posting this? You posted this twice on this board and twice on his board. Do you obsess much? Leave them alone, for heaven's sake. It's not like you are going to have a chance.

Nope, it only takes one mouse click to see that every post you've made since you've signed up, except one, has been for the sole purpose of bashing Sam Elliott and casting doubts on that marriage. 23/24 times since January. I'm just not sure which one you've got the crush on - Sam or Katherine.
