I think she is really amazing as an actress (i'm studing to be an actress too!), the best I ever see.

To be honsest, not many, especially young, people know who she is. They might recognise her from films, like Harry Potter, but she isn't the most well known actress, eventhough she is excellent.
Most adults would recognise her, though.

I'm 15 and I adore her! I've followed her work (starting with the infamous Blackadder!) since I was 12, but I think that I'm the odd one out amongst my peers. Most of my friends are aware of her existance and some of her finer work but only because I talk about it. I agree that it is mainly the older people in the UK who know of her and those younger people who've seen her in Harry Potter or Phantom of the Opera largely overlook her. Its tragic.
shareI'm 14, but I've liked Miranda since I was 8, when I saw Merlin. She scared me silly in it, but I thought she was amazing. I understand what crazyaj56 meant about being the odd one out amongst your peers. That's just how it was for me, and still sort of is. While all of my friends are burying their faces in TeenPeople and everything, I'm off learning about an adult British actress, who isn't even that well known. Oh well, I've stayed a very true and loyal fan for 6 years, and I just am so looking forward to when I'm older and can see the films that she's best known for; because like all of them (Dance With a Stranger, The Crying Game) are not appropiate for me at this time.

On the whole I think it is the older generation who know her.
I just think she is amazing. She says some of the funniest things! I was in kinks watching Taste Of Your Life! But she is also incredibly intelligent and a genuine person, not a poser in any way at all.

ive been a fan of hers since i was 10 or something... 9 years ago now haha. most of my friends didn't know who she was by name, but soon as you mention her characters from blackadder, harry potter, and sleepy hollow they all know who i mean. in a way its good that she is remembered via character and not herself, because it shows that you saw the character she was playing - and that she is a talented actress. unlike tom cruise syndrom, when most people watch him on the screen we tend to think its tom cruise that were watching and not the character he is attempting to portray.
