I know it's a complete waste of her talents. But the same can be said of Fiona Shaw, and John Hurt, and Alan Rickman, and so on. You can't say 'no' to Harry Potter. What exactly did these four seconds entail?

Do I look like a people person?

I believe it is either Hermione or Harry picking up Rita Skeeter's autobiography of Dumbledore, they flip to the back cover and we very briefly see her "picture" where Rita poses for a few seconds... Fiona Shaw also appears for maybe 5 seconds and also doesn't say a word right at the beginning, but Alan Rickman has a lengthy scene...

She is however credited for Part II, hopefully they can add a few scenes with her in it...

I'm assuming they took the roles because they get a bigger part in DH2, aside from Fiona Shaw, I can't imagine the Dursley's will be on again... I fail to understand that one at all.

She was wearing the same outfit as Goblet of Fire so I thought they just got unused footage from that movie.

It'd be cool if she was like a war correspondent reporting like Ernie Pyle during the Battle of Hogwarts!

reply

Yeah she was but they have new photos of her in a red and black outfit, not from Goblet of Fire, so presumably she will be wearing this in DH2.

And do you mean like Potter Watch? That the Weasley twins did?

I think there were a few people briefly in part 1 who will have bigger role in part 2.

Its that man again!!

she is no longer credited as being in part two - which she was last week :(

I'm guessing that she was contracted to do it (and any other appearances as Rita) when she signed on for Goblet of Fire. I can't imagine her going all the way to the studios at the crack of dawn and then sitting in make-up for at least an hour out of choice for one day. And for one days work she'd be left with not much money once she'd paid her agent. Hardly worth the bother, really, unless she had to.
