Women's World Cup Coaches

Just finished watching the Canada-England quarterfinal game and not only one but both the male coaches were rocking the Coach Joe fitted white shirt look. At first I was confused as I thought one of the coaches looked a bit different from time to time. Then it dawned on me it was 2 different guys rocking the white shirt tucked into dress pants look! The good news is one of them will continue the look into at least the semi-finals of the World Cup ;)

I watch a lot of football/soccer and funny, I've never seen coaches of men's team rocking the white shirt look on the sidelines. Hmmm...but 2 examples in the women's world cup?

Hi Beeball,

I totally agree with all your recent posts about JRM, so much so that I came out of IMDB retirement after more than a year!!

That was a great game earlier today. Team Canada played valiantly but were no match for England's Lionesses. Now….those "coach Joe" coaches…*sigh* I've had a little crush on John Herdmann ever since he came aboard to coach team Canada. I thought I was the only person thinking "this is like real life Bend it like Beckham"…I guess social media agrees!

Like you, I haven't been active in JRM fandom for a long time. Perhaps a post here and there, but I used to be really active on a fan board. I only got pulled back in when I saw a thread about JRM's recent problems on another site. For a second, I thought this is the dreaded headline I've expected in the last few years. Luckily it wasn't the case, as sad as the actual incident was; it could have been worse.

Great game last night, that was fun. Feel a bit bad for the Canadians as they sure weren't outplayed. The English capitalized on a huge gaffe by a Canadian defender and poor marking for a set piece, but they didn't outplay the Canadians.

I was chuckling any time they panned to the sidelines. Not one but two guys rocking BILB-era JRM! The England coach, Mark Sampson, is really slight, just like JRM so that tight white shirt really gives him the Coach Joe look. Would Jess and Jules be representing England in this World Cup?! In terms of movie age-they would be in their early 30's now.
