Stonewall

Does anyone know how I can watch Stonewall? It's too bad the gay historical society ruined the potential success of what looks like a great film because it was remade for the 3rd time to be different. God forbid a director takes some creative license. Ruined it for the JRM fans who have been looking forward to it for months now.

It's a great movie!
As a fan of Ron Perlman and Jonathan Rhys Meyer enjoyed it very much. Nobody is able to ruin that. The whole cast is very credible and learnt a lot about that turbulent time in NY at the end of the 60ies. Aside discrimination, racism and hypocrisy even inside the gay-community, who fight for their rights.
Well, we're all humans, aren't we?
The movie is worth watching!

You could have asked on the Stonewall-Board with your one and only post within nearly 3 years.
Asking wasn't anyhow your intention.
Will answer your question although:
Order a DVD at Amazon. Easy, cause you've such a nice account there, socky.

In case you pretend the link above doesn't work:
DVD Release Date: January 19, 2016...$ 19.98
It's hard to wait so long...I hear ya!

C-days will be followed by D-days.

I was lucky enough to see it in a theater in Atlanta. I loved the movie, I thought the entire cast including Jonny did a great job. The DVD comes out on my birthday January 19th. A great gift for myself. So sad people boycotted this film after viewing only the trailer.

Be nice to each other, you may be speaking with an angel.

Look, what the first review on Amazon says:
By Foster Corbin (TOP 1000 REVIEWER) on November 17, 2015

I recently saw the movie "Stonewall" at a local theatre in Atlanta...

Oh yah, these coincidences are really amazing!

On Amazon Mr. Corbin gave it a 4/5.
And cause you loved that movie also, you rated it 5/10 here?

Tara the internet sleuth.

God forbid, you make one comment on the JRM board because Tara the explorer will break out her passive aggressive game of running you down by dissecting every word you post. What kind of time do you have when you can link a review on Amazon to a post here on IMDB?

And geez, I guess it's freaking impossible that at least TWO people saw Stonewall in Atlanta? Has anyone visited Atlanta or know anything about the city? It's kinda big...there are lots of people there.

Hi Tara, here's unsolicited advice to you since you seem to love critiquing others--chill the hell out and try to not use this board to showcase your internet stalking habits, okay?

Maybe we can return this board to some interesting conversations about JRM once again.

Oh, here another real fan of Jonathan Rhys Meyers! 

Beeball spreads everywhere how much she loves him and uses every occasion to point out how bad Mr. Rhys Meyers is...with deep concern, of course!

God forbid...passive aggressive...stalking...
Look for some new terms, too transparent meanwhile.

Hurted much, yah? 

Oh, what a pity--reinforcing your brand of crazy. True to form, you bring up another thread, another conversation elsewhere. I hate to break it to you, but no, not ‘hurted’ much. I did chuckle reading that thread though. Good to see you do not confine your gift of crazy to just the JRM board. You seem to have a peculiar obsession with spotting connections and conspiracies everywhere. It looks like you have your hands full fighting off so-called real fans of Jonathan Rhys Meyers. What a warrior. I’ll leave it to you. Obviously when it comes to nutty internet arguments, you’ll win by sheer experience alone. You will respond of course—you won’t be able to stop yourself. I have said my piece.

I posted my first response because I was tired of Tara the thread destroyer pouncing on posters for even the most innocuous questions or opinions. Hopefully, others will not be put off by one lone zealous JRM defender and continue to post interesting, helpful and varied information and opinions on JRM’s career. There aren’t many active JRM boards/forums anymore so I like to check in here periodically to see what’s going on with JRM.

Kozy, glad to read you enjoyed Stonewall. I know the movie tanked at the box office but hopefully you weren’t the only person in Atlanta to watch it.

"Tara, the thread destroyer" 
Sounds like a Chief's name...Hahaha.

I have said my piece.
And then...Blah Blah Blah.
Great!
Still hurt much. 

Of course "Kozy" wasn't alone in Atlanta.
Foster Corbin, who wrote the first Amazon-Review, was there also. 

BTW I've lived in Atlanta for 42 years so I know it well.
