I always suspected he was one of those actors who don't get along with their costars.
Look at his listings here in IMDB: one-shot roles on TV shows after his movie career tanked.

A little sci-fi b movie back in the 90s. He was generally a rude guy. But this one time he fucked up his lines and cursed (as he often did because he had an anger issue), and this wad of spit comes out his mouth. It was during a scene where he was over a dying man in a church who also happened to be bald. So anyway, this ball of saliva comes flying out and he sees it and tries to catch it, but winds up karate chopping it in half instead. And the spit goes tumbling now in this amoeba shape and cover the bald guy’s head.share
While the bald dude is wiping it off, really confused what happened. Judge gets even angrier at his spit misadventure and starts breaking props which had to be fixed by a PA. He’s an ass. No one liked him.
Judge Reinhold (yes, Judge Reinhold) was a colossal asshat on one project I worked on. Throwing tantrums and carrying on like a raging asshole. Bizarre behavior.share
I've heard from colleagues that Tim Allen is no picnic either. Apparently Disney had to step in and insist he stop dropping F bombs around the kids on the Santa Clause movies.
