She was hot in 'Phantom of the Opera'

How old was she in that movie? She must've been barely 20. She was cute as a button in that movie! And damn sexy too when she let her hair down and was wearing that white dress during the picnic scene.

Well, she was very pretty. She was about 21 to Charles Dance's 44 at the time the film was released.

I think the white dress in the picnic scene was to show how Erik regarded her as an innocent/virgin (not withstanding her romp in the woods with Philippe) not be sexy. A white dress, loose blond hair around her shoulders - very innocent bride look, don't you think? It was the same dress Erik's mother was wearing in the portrait and, as we know, the resemblence Belladova and Christine was uncanny. Erik left the dress for her to wear even though it was 30+ years out of date. The painting had to have been done before Erik was born while Belladova was the toast of Paris. We know that she died when he was 3 and that by that time Carriere was managing director of the opera house and remained so for 30 years, up until the start of the story.

Polo was almost the weakest link in the cast. The worst was the young man who played Philippe. It wasn't entirely Polo's fault - Kopit's play wrote her that way.

She did a lot better than you give her credit for.
