Twenty-five years ago, Movieline Magazine checked in with Broadway superstar, Mandy Patinkin. At the time, Patinkin expressed frustration with the state of his movie career. He had high hopes for the science fiction movie, Alien Nation, was not allowed to sing at all in Barbara Streisand’s musical, Yentl, was replaced by Jack Nicholson on Mike Nichols’ comedy, Heartburn and mostly edited out of his duet with Madonna in Dick Tracy.
