Miserable woman

Back in 2009, some friends and I saw her selling her atuograph (for $20 a pop) at comic con. There was no one near her, she wasn't doing anything she was sitting by herself.

As fans we went over to talk to her, she seemed nice enough, we were telling her of her her pieces she did. Again, at no time during this did anyone else come up to talk to her. We asked if she could do a quick Peggy Hill voice for us.

She quickly became very cold, glared at us and said "I am not performing right now". Forge the fact that during that trip we met some more famous voice actors who had no problem doing voices for us, and the fact that we got autographs for free from much bigger stars.

We were the only ones during the 20 minutes talking to her that approached her. Even the time we spent in the general area we didn't see anyone else approach her booth.

She then asked if we were going to buy a picture, at this point we were so put off by her attitude we informed her no. At that point she just plain ignored us.

I had been a fan of her work for sometime, but after that behaviour I can't justify supporting her work. We met larger celebrities, none who gave us any kind of attitude. Even Robert Downey jr. who was late for a panel meeting had the time to have a picture with us.

I have lost all respect for this woman since then.

I think it's incredibly disrespectful to ask anyone to "do a voice" for you.

I agree with exatera, I would for sure be annoyed if someone asked me to do a voice for them

I (accidentally) caught a bit of a TMZ episode and the caught Hank Azaria on the street talking to fans. What did these "journalists" think to ask him? "Do a Simpsons voice!"

I won't apologize for Kathy but as a fan I sure hope I'd take perhaps a once in a lifetime opportunity to ask something more substantial of a celebrity.

Back around 1980 I was 16 and met Clayton Moore at a public appearance. He had off time and signed autographs for me and my family. I sat and talked to a man 50 years older than me for a half-hour and not once did I think to ask him to say "Hi-Yo Silver!.

"For truly optimal, 3-D clarity, try walking around your neighborhood with both eyes open."

In a convention I understand its bad form to request performers do voices etc for you.

Its that man again!!
